I really loved chapter 3 and want to incorporate the ideas they described. I used something like the goal page and data notebooks with my students several years ago and felt like the students had more ownership in their learning and progress. This chapter was full of great ideas!

The Baldridge tools was written in business-ese, but it had a lot of pertinent points. I liked the idea of using a forsce field diagram to teach students to evaluate pros and cons of actions or decisions. I also liked that they used actual student work to show several of the graphic organizers.
